## Get the AI Games Kit into the right project.

First match your Polar purchase to the GitHub account you use for development. Then verify that same account locally and run one command from your project root.

Access boundary

### Repository access—not this URL—is your entitlement.

This instruction page is public. Visiting it does not prove a purchase, and query parameters such as `checkout_id` are never treated as proof.

**Entitlement owner**

Polar’s GitHub Repository Access benefit

**Access granted**

Read access to getagentguild/kit-games

01

**Confirm GitHub**Match Polar, the browser, and the GitHub CLI.

02

**Install from the root**Choose the full team or only the specialists you need.

03

**Re-run safely**Unchanged files are skipped; your modified files are preserved.

Setup · 01—04

**Keep secrets private.**AI Games Kit does not need your password, personal access token, OAuth token, or recovery code.

01

Polar → GitHub

### Connect the GitHub account you actually use.

Polar’s built-in GitHub Repository Access benefit controls your entitlement. It—not the checkout redirect, this page, or an installer flag—is what grants access to the private repository.

1. In Polar, connect or confirm the correct GitHub account. Use the account you intend to authenticate with on this computer.
2. Accept any pending GitHub invitation associated with the purchase.
3. Open the private repository below and verify that you can read it.

[Open getagentguild/kit-games](https://github.com/getagentguild/kit-games)

GitHub may show a 404 for a private repository when the signed-in account has not received or accepted access.

02

GitHub → this computer

### Confirm the same account in the GitHub CLI.

In your terminal, check which GitHub account is active. The account reported for `github.com` must be the one that can open the private AI Games Kit repository.

Terminal Run locally

```
$ gh auth status
```

Read the result locally. Do not paste tokens or unredacted credential output into a support request.

03

This computer → your project

### Run the installer from your project root.

Change into the top-level directory of the game project you want to equip—the directory that contains the project’s repository and main project files—then run this verified Node.js 22+ command:

Project root AI Games Kit

```
$ npx --yes --package=github:getagentguild/cli agentguild --kit=games
```

The command bootstraps the public installer directly from the kit’s GitHub repository. The shorter `npx @agentguild/cli` form is intentionally not shown because that npm package is not published yet.

Full team

Select the complete Games roster when you want broad production coverage in this project.

Specialists

Select individual agents or focused skills when the project needs only a smaller set of workflows.

Current install target

The installer currently writes the `.claude/` structure and manages one marked block in `CLAUDE.md`. Native Codex installation is not available yet. The kit content itself is product-neutral, so you can use its instructions manually with Codex until that delivery path exists.

04

Install → update

### Re-run safely. Fetch updates deliberately.

The same plain install command is safe to run again in the same project. It uses the cached kit source and does not fetch newer repository content. The installer still distinguishes its unchanged files from files you have edited.

**Unchanged installed file**It is left as-is and reported as already up to date. A no-change re-run remains byte-identical.

**File you modified**It is left untouched and reported as a conflict so you can review and integrate changes manually.

Your existing `CLAUDE.md` content is preserved. The file is backed up before the installer changes its managed block.

#### When you intend to refresh the kit

Use `--update` explicitly. This refreshes the cached Games Kit repository before installation, then applies the same skip and conflict protections to your project files.

Project root Fetch kit updates

```
$ npx --yes --package=github:getagentguild/cli agentguild --update --kit=games
```

Access troubleshooting

### If the repository still looks locked.

Work from the entitlement outward: Polar account, GitHub browser account, then local GitHub CLI identity.

1. **Repository link returns 404**Confirm that the GitHub account connected in Polar matches the account signed in at github.com, then check for a pending invitation.
2. **`gh auth status` shows another account**Authenticate or switch the GitHub CLI locally to the account that has the AI Games Kit benefit, then run the status check again.
3. **Browser access works but installation does not**Compare the active `github.com` account reported by the CLI with the account that can open the private repository.
4. **The Polar benefit is missing**Return to the purchase record in Polar and confirm the connected GitHub account. If access is still absent, prepare the purchase email and GitHub username—never a password or token—for support.
